Priyanka Shukla, who has become an IAS, was born in Haridwar, and she grew up there. She also got his early education from there. Priyanka Shukla's father was heartened that his daughter grew up to become DM. But seeing the condition of that time, Priyanka Shukla decided to pursue a career in the field of medicine. In 2006, Priyanka did her MBBS from the prestigious King George Medical University in Lucknow. After completing MBBS, Priyanka Shukla started practicing in Lucknow itself. During this practice, some such incident happened with her, after which she vowed to

become an IAS officer. Priyanka Shukla once went to the slum area for checkup during practice in Lucknow. Where they saw a woman drinking dirty water and also feeding her children. After seeing this incident, Priyanka begged the woman not to use this contaminated water.

Replying to said - Are you a collector of somewhere? Priyanka Shukla got these words piercing inside, and she decided that now she will die as a collector. After seeing the condition of slums, Priyanka Shukla decided that she should go to the administrative service to improve and help the society. Without delay, Priyanka got ready and started preparing for UPSC.

It took Priyanka Shukla two years to reach the UPSC exam. Priyanka's first encounter with UPSC was not successful. But with success in the second attempt, she also achieved good rank. Presently, Priyanka Shukla is posted as DM of Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh. With her hard work and dedication, she has changed the picture of this district. Along with this, former President Pranab Mukherjee also honored her with the Censor Silver Medal Award in 2011 for better work in the district.
