Despite being blind, the lyricist wrote the song - 'Ankhiyo ke jharokhon se, main dekho jo jo samwar'
Such lyricist-composers of the film world who after birth were blind, spread the magic with the power of their pen and surly voice. The name of this personality is Ravindra Jain, let's learn his struggle story
Ravindra Jain was born on 28 February 1944 in Aligarh district of Uttar Pradesh. His father was a great Sanskrit priest, son Jain was blind since childhood.
His father used to take the temple with him, because Ravindra Jain had a great attachment to music since childhood. His family supported him at every turn, his brother Dr. DK Jain used to read literature, history and religious texts to Ravindra Jain. So that they can know everything.
Actually Ravindra Jain wanted to get ahead in music, so he went to his uncle in Calcutta. After arriving there, he started taking tuition at home to master music. They did one day and night to learn music, they made their weakness their weapon. He never lost courage in life, even though he had no light in his eyes since birth. In 1960, Prabhushan Bhattacharya brought him to Mumbai and made him work in films.
He felt the beauty of the world in his life with his heart rather than his eyes - he wrote music for famous films like Saudagar, Chor Machaye Shor, Geet Gaata Chala, Dulhan Wahey Jo Piya Man Bhaye, Ankho Ke Jharokhe Se. These songs are still very much liked among the people.
