Kailash Katkar was born in Rahmatpur, a small village in Maharashtra, his home was in poor financial condition. His father worked as a machine center in Pune. Due to poor financial condition of the family, Kailash Katkar had to quit his studies after 10th standard. After this, he started working in a mobile repair shop to help his family financially. Here they used to get around 400 rupees per month. In the early days he worked from cleaning the shop to fetching tea, as he has a penchant for learning about the inside.] For a long time he worked there and after that he moved to Mumbai where he spent a few months Took mobile and computer training.

Along with training, he had gained a lot of knowledge about the business, after which he came to Pune and opened a Kell Repairing shop about a small shop rented from his savings and started running this shop alone. Gradually as his customers started to grow, his brother Sanjay started working, although cutting Kailash, he understood the importance of education. So he inspired his younger brother for higher education. After some time his shop started running very well. When the store started making profits, they thought of expanding the business further. With the changing time, Kailash was getting information about new technology.

Both countries felt that they are coming to repair engineering mostly computers that are getting damaged due to virus problem. Then Kailash got the idea of anti virus, after which he started working on it with his brother and created an antivirus named 'Quick Heal'. This antivirus is the first choice of the people and today the turnover of their company is in crores. Apart from India, his 'Quick Heal' antivirus is also liked in foreign countries
